Conference Invitation

 

Dear colleagues,

We are honoured and pleased to welcome you between 12-13 September 2014 in Craiova for the Joint international Conference of the Doctoral and Post-Doctoral Researchers Craiova.

The conference is organized  within the strategic grant POSDRU/159/1.5/S/133255, Project ID 133255 (2014), co-financed by the European Social Fund within the Sectorial Operational Program Human Resources Development 2007-2013.

The conference is organized and pursued along with the activities of the Center of Support for Publishing and Joint Research (CSPCM-CPSJR), a center established within the University of Craiova (Romania) to mainly support the research work and publishing developments of the doctoral and post-doctoral researchers, members of the target group of the project.

 

The purpose of the conference is to provide to the doctoral and post-doctoral researchers with an opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas and opinions regarding their current and ongoing research.

Participants, doctoral and post-doctoral researchers, are members of the target-group of the strategic grant POSDRU/159/1.5/S/133255, Project ID 133255 (2014), co-financed by the European Social Fund within the Sectorial Operational Program Human Resources Development 2007-2013.

 

Our aim is to provide doctoral and post-doctoral researchers with an academic forum according to the area of competence of their research. The  conference debates and discussions are aimed at covering the individual research topics presented as well as the common themes, directions of research and links between them.

 

Proposed panels

The Center of Support for Publishing  and Joint Research (CSPCM-CPSJR) is proposing the following panels according to the area of competence of doctoral and post-doctoral research within the project:

Participation and attendance

In order to qualify applicants must be:

• doctoral and post-doctoral researchers
•  members of the target-group of the strategic grant POSDRU/159/1.5/S/133255, Project ID 133255 (2014), co-financed by the European Social Fund within the Sectorial Operational Program Human Resources Development 2007-2013
• Important notification: travel, accommodation and other expenses are to be covered by the participants.

 

Conference venue

 University of Craiova, New Building of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Calea Bucuresti Street, no. 107D, Craiova (see Conference September Location Map)

 

 

Application requirements

The proposals (individual application form) must be sent in English or Romanian and must contain the requirements attached to this call for papers (see attachment Individual Application Form). For conference presentation, participants are required to prepare a power point presentation of their paper.

 

Conference Materials

Prior to the conference, all participants will receive by email:

• The program of the conference
• Information regarding the panels and core panels of the conference

At the end of the conference, all participants will receive:

• Diploma of participation
• The volume of the conference when published

 

Conference deadlines and time frame

• Friday, 29 August 2014: deadline for sending the Individual Application Form
• Monday, 1 September 2014: Final Announcement of the selected participants
• Tuesday, 30 September 2014: Submission of the final papers according to the Manuscript Submission.

• The decision of acceptance of the paper for presentation is delivered within 2days after the submission of the Individual Application Form.

Conference Registration Desk

The doctoral and post-doctoral researchers will register at the conference location in the morning of 12 September between 09.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m.

 

Computer & Internet Facilities

 There is available a video-proiector and connection to Internet services.

There is no charge for computern and internet facilities.

* Language

The official languages of the Conference will be English (for specific papers, Romanian).

The Organizing Committee does not provide simultaneous translation.

 

Publishing the papers presented in the conference in a Joint Volume of Doctoral and Post-Doctoral Studies

All conference papers accepted for presentation will be published within the project framework in a joint doctoral and post-doctoral volume with ISBN identification number from the National Library of Romania.

The guidelines for sending papers will be delivered after the conference with the support of the Center of Support for Publishing and Joint Research (CSPCM-CPSJR).
