ADMISSION AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CRAIOVA
FOREIGN STUDENTS
Candidates will apply for obtaining the Letter of Acceptances to studies through the online platform and will fill in all the fields with requested information and upload all the registration documents mentioned below.
Candidates must take responsibility for the authenticity and correspondence of the copies of digital/ scanned documents with the original ones.
Incomplete files will not be processed and shall be REJECTED
- A. ADMISSION
Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree
I. REGISTRATION CALENDAR for obtaining the Letter of Acceptances for studies
EU citizens:
According to Law 316/12.07.2006, the citizens of the European Union, European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation have access to education under the same conditions as the Romanian citizens.

Non-EU citizens:
1st registration session: Application submission: 01st June -13th July, 2021;
2ns registration session: Application submission: 01th September – 12th September, 2021
II. REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS (Bachelor and Master Degree)
- birth certificate – certified copy or certified translation at notary public (in Romanian, English or French, if the original is not issued in one of these languages);
- passport copy – valid for at least 6 months after the date of issue of the Acceptance Letter;
- copy of the document certifying the permanent residency abroad;
- marriage license – if necessary (to prove the name change), certified copy or certified translation at notary public (in Romanian, English or French, if the original is not issued in one of these languages;
- application form, duly filled in and signed (Anexa 2B) with recent photo (to be filled in capital letters);
- high-school graduation diploma or its equivalent – certified copy in the original language and certified translation, at notary public (in Romanian, English or French, if the original is not issued in one of these languages) - the document are to be authenticated by the responsible authorities in the issuer country;
- Bachelor’s Degree diploma or its equivalent (only for the application for Master’s Degree programmes) – certified copy in the original language and certified translation, at notary public (in Romanian, English or French, if the original is not issued in one of these languages) - the document are to be authenticated by the responsible authorities in the issuer country;
- transcript of records pertaining to the previous studies – certified copy or certified translation at notary public (in Romanian, English or French, if the original is not issued in one of these languages) and the analytical curriculum in case of candidates that request equivalence for certain periods of studies - the document are to be authenticated by the responsible authorities in the issuer country;
- medical certificate (in Romanian, English or French) attesting that the applicant does not suffer from any contagious diseases or any other affections incompatible with the future profession;
- Copy of the certificate attesting the graduation of the Preparatory Year in Romanian language or language proficiency certificate (according to language of the study programme which will be followed). Exempted are the candidates coming from states whose official language is the study language of the programme they have applied for or had previously studied in the respective language;
- receipt attesting the payment of the processing fee.
PhD Studies
I. REGISTRATION CALENDAR for obtaining the Letter of Acceptances for studies
Registration session: Application submission: 01st September – 09 September, 2021;
Admission Contest: 13-19th September 2021;
Publishing of the preliminary results: 20th September 2021;
Confirmation of places, submitting the registration file in original, payment of the enrollment and study fees: 21st – 27th September 2021;
Publishing of the final results: 28th September 2021.
II. REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS (PhD Studies)
- application form, duly filled in and signed (Anexa 2B) with recent photo (to be filled in capital letters);
- birth certificate – certified copy or certified translation at notary public (in Romanian, English or French, if the original is not issued in one of these languages);

- All transcripts of records pertaining to the previous studies – certified copy or certified translation at notary public (in Romanian, English or French, if the original is not issued in one of these languages) and the analytical curriculum in case of candidates that request equivalence for certain periods of studies - the document are to be authenticated by the responsible authorities in the issuer country;

- Curriculum Vitae in Romanian, English or French;
- List of published scientific papers or articles;
- Copy of the certificate attesting the graduation of the Preparatory Year in Romanian language or language proficiency certificate (according to language of the study programme which will be followed). Exempted are the candidates coming from states whose official language is the study language of the programme they have applied for or had previously studied in the respective language.

B. RECOGNITION AND EQUIVALENCE OF STUDIES
Candidates who have obtained final high school or college diplomas in a country other than Romania, must obtain the equivalence of studies from the National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED) within the Ministry of Education and research (MEC), which will recognize the studies done abroad and will issue a Certificate of Recognition.

- Equivalence of undergraduate studies done abroad for Romanian citizens

- Recognition of doctorate diploma and of PhD. in science or in a professional field, obtained abroad
- Recognition of the studies graduated by EU citizens, required for admission in a Romanian higher education institution at the master / doctorate level
- Study recognition for citizens of the EU, EEA Member States and of the Swiss Confederation, their family members, holders of a long term CE residence permit and refugees, in order to access the work market
- Recognition of Higher Education study documents for third countries citizens to facilitate the access to labour market in Romania
- C. ENROLLMENT
In order to be enrolled at the University of Craiova, candidates must submit in original:
- the documents included in the registration file;
- the Letter of Acceptance for studies;
- the passport with a study visa;
- two 3/4 photos.
It is mandatory for the candidates to present their original study documents authenticated by the authorities in the issuer country as follows:
- The original study documents which are part of the Hague Convention will be stamped by the competent authorities in the issuer country with the Hague Apostille.
- The original study documents which are not part of the Hague Convention will be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the issuer country and by the Embassy/Consulate Office of Romania in the issuer country.

The deadline for enrollments at University of Craiova for NON-EU Citizens is 15th of December 2021.
D. VISA
Visa/Residence permit
The students from non-EU countries must contact the Romanian Embassy in their country or the nearby Diplomatic Missions in order to obtain information regarding the documents required for the visa.
