B. Admission
Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree
I. REGISTRATION CALENDAR
According to Law 316/12.07.2006, the citizens of the European Union, European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation have access to education under the same conditions as the Romanian citizens.
Please follow this admission procedure in compliance with the deadlines:
Non-EU citizens:
1st registration session: Deadline: July 12th, 2020
2ns registration session: Application submission: 25th August – 10th September, 2020
Candidates can submit their admission documents as follows:
- By e-mail, at relint@ucv.ro;
- By post, to the following address: Universitatea din Craiova, Departamentul de Relații Internaționale, Str. A.I.Cuza nr. 13, Craiova, 200585, Romania
Candidates must take responsibility for the authenticity and correspondence of the copies of digital/ scanned documents with the original ones.
II. ADMISSION DOCUMENTS
- birth certificate – certified copy or certified translation at notary public (in Romanian, English or French, if the original is not issued in one of these languages).
- passport copy – valid for at least 6 months after the date of issue of the Acceptance Letter
- copy of the document certifying the permanent residency abroad;
- application form, duly filled in and signed (Anexa 2B)
- high-school graduation diploma or its equivalent – certified copy in the original language and certified translation, at notary public (in Romanian, English or French, if the original is not issued in one of these languages).
- Bachelor’s Degree diploma or its equivalent (only for the application for Master’s Degree programmes) – certified copy in the original language and certified translation, at notary public (in Romanian, English or French, if the original is not issued in one of these languages).
- transcript of records pertaining to the previous studies – certified copy or certified translation at notary public (in Romanian, English or French, if the original is not issued in one of these languages) and the analytical curriculum in case of candidates that request equivalence for certain periods of studies.
- medical certificate (in Romanian, English or French) attesting that the applicant does not suffer from any contagious diseases or any other affections incompatible with the future profession.
- language proficiency certificate. Exempted are the candidates coming from states whose official language is the study language of the programme they have applied for.
- receipt attesting the payment of the processing fee.
PhD Studies

- Curriculum Vitae in Romanian, English or French.
- List of published scientific papers or articles.
- language proficiency certificate – shall be issued by the University of Craiova upon examination. The certificates are issued by the Faculty of Letters after the candidate has taken the evaluation exam. The certificates can be issued from 3 to 11 September 2019, from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m. from the Secretariat of the Faculty of Letters.

C. Recognition and Equivalence
Candidates who have obtained final high school or college diplomas in a country other than Romania, must obtain the equivalence of studies from the National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED) within the Ministry of Education and research (MEC), which will recognise the studies done abroad and will issue a Certificate of Recognition.

D. VISA
Visa/Residence permit
The students from non-EU countries must contact the Romanian Embassy in their country or the nearby Diplomatic Missions in order to obtain information regarding the documents required for the visa.
