Leibnizʼs Metaphysics of Life

The adoption of substantial forms in 1678-1679 represents a very important moment in the metaphysical thinking of Leibniz. This moment is in a deep connection with adoption of monads (beginning with 1695) and organism (after 1704).

The colloquium ,,Leibnizʼs Metaphysics of Life'' will be focus on the following topics:  

            - the philosophy of live

            - monad and organism

            - substantial form, corporeal substance, monad

            - unitas, veritas, monas, vivum

The languages: English, French

Keynote speaker: François Duchesneau (Université de Montreal, Canada)
