Teaching Opportunities at US Academic Institutions for Visiting Scholars

The Fulbright Scholar in Residence (SIR) program (http://www.cies.org/sites/default/files/documents/SIR-Flyer-2015-16.pdf) offers opportunities to non-U.S. visiting scholars from different countries, including Romania, to teach at U.S. colleges and universities for one or both semesters. The U.S. institutions of higher education (e.g. historically Black colleges and universities, Hispanic-serving institutions, tribal colleges, community colleges, small liberal-arts institutions) intending to invite a Romanian scholar should submit proposals to the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES) in Washington D.C., by October 15, 2015.

The Romanian scholars interested in the Fulbright SIR program are encouraged to get in touch individually with the respective US universities and colleges, in order to investigate possibilities of affiliation. Communication with these US universities and colleges will be an initiative carried out by the Romanian scholar exclusively. A list of the recent SIR Awarded US institutions is available at:
