Student global virtual business team experience

"Victoria University of Wellington din Noua Zeelanda lanseaza invitatia pentru studentii Universitatii din Craiova de a participa la proiectul 2016 Global Enterprise Experience (www.geebiz.org), ce se va desfasura in perioada 31 Martie - 21 Aprilie 2016. Proiectul vizează oportunităţi de a castiga premii. Mai multe detalii in informatiile de mai jos.

University of Craiova students are invited to participate in the 2016 Global Enterprise Experience (www.geebiz.org) which will run from March 31 – April 21. This is an experiential learning event to develop skills in managing global teams with a business focus. Enrolment is now open and it is free to enter

This invitation is addressed to students or academics with an interest in developing skills in international business, cross cultural management, social entrepreneurship, economic development, or business communications. To date 6000 students from 420 universities in 85 countries have participated. Students may enroll as individuals or as part of a university course. An A4 poster is available on www.geebiz.org/images/downloads/GEE_Invitation_Poster_2016.pdf  to advertise the opportunity to students.

On March 31 enrollees will receive details of their eight team members.  Teams are designed to maximise diversity in culture, time zones and world views.  They will communicate via the internet to develop a “six-page business concept proposal for a profitable product or service that fosters social cohesion”.   The topic is deliberately broad, so teams have full creative rein to design projects to perhaps focus on refugees, children, elderly, disabled or remote communities, with projects as varied as sports, art, environment, water or food among dozens of other possibilities.

Members of the champion team and the champion individual will each win NZ$1000 (about US$700).  All participants who complete the journal and have their name on the team report receive a certificate and letter of commendation.

Participants can enrol between now and March 20 by logging onto the website (www.geebiz.org).  Late enrolments can be accepted if we know in advance the approximate number of participants.

Please email deb@windeaters.co.nz for further information or samples of how some universities have included the programme in their courses.  I

More information, including samples of previous reports and journals, are available on the Global Enterprise Experience website (www.geebiz.org).
