Overview

The study programmes provided by the Distance Learning System were first established within the University of Craiova in 1999. In the meeting of 23.09.1999, the University Senate approved the foundation of the Centre for Distance Learning, starting from the academic year1999-2000.

 

The centre managed the following modules: Business, Law, Informatics, Automatics, Applied Informatics and Mechanical Engineering. 

The Distance Learning system shows compliance with the Orders 3289/19.02.1998 and 3354/25.02.1999 of the Minister of National Education.

 

In March 2012, the centre was renamed as the Department of Distance Learning and Part-Time Programmes (DIDFR).

At the University of Craiova, the Distance Learning- and Part-time programmes-related activities comply with the Regulation of the Department of Distance Learning and Part-Time Programmes (DIDFR).

 

The Department of Distance Learning and Part-Time Programmes manages and monitors the Distance Learning and Part-Time programmes at the University of Craiova, while also assuring their quality.

DIDFR is subordinated to the Vice-Rector for Study Programmes and Employability.

The activity of DIDFR complies with the provisions of the Law of National Education 1/2011.
