AUF

Francophone University Agency (AUF) is one of the largest associations of university in the world, being present in 98 countries through a global network comprising 782 institutions of higher education and research, out of which 55 members of the International Organization of Francophonie.
Founded in 1961, Montreal (Quebec, Canada), the Francophone University Agency is a multilateral institution which supports cooperation and solidarity between francophone university institutions and encourages the development of higher education and research.
University of Craiova has been a member of AUF since 1995.

 

Grants offered by AUF

• Grants for initial training – mobilities for bachelor and master students

• Research training fellowships – doctoral mobilities

• Grants for training in research – postdoctoral mobilities

Scientific and academic mobility program of AUF offers grants for students as well as teachers and researchers. There are scholarships for students training (initial or for research) and scholarships for internships (cultural or professional).

AUF Initial Training grants allow students of AUF member universities to have all or part of the studies at second or third cycle (Postgraduate, Master or equivalent) in a country other than their own. Their duration is one to two semesters (6-10 months).

Training grants are awarded to doctoral researchers in order to prepare and defend the theses. Their duration is one academic year, renewable depending on the results. Internship in an academic year meaning 10 months, in two successive periods: one for 3-7 months in one country of destination and one in the country of origin.

The cultural intended grants for students in cycle 2 or 3 of the programmes supported by the AUF, aimed at improving their cultural knowledge over another French-speaking countries and, where appropriate, their level of mastery of the French language.

Grants for vocational programmes for students are supported by AUF at the end of cycle 2 or 3 in order to allow direct contact with the business world or developing the skills necessary to get a proper job preparation.
