  • Work meeting Competitiveness pole AUTOMOTIVE South-West Oltenia

The Regional Development Agency South-West Oltenia held a work meeting within the “Pole of Competitiveness Research - Development – Innovation AUTOMOTIVE SOUTH-WEST OLTENIA”.

The pole was founded in Janury 2012, having four founding members: ADR SV Oltenia as management entity, Craiova City hall, University of Craiova and the Company Ford Romania.

- Manufacturers of parts for cars;
- Units of design, innovation, research and development activities in the construction of cars;
- Companies.

 

The Competitiveness Pole Automotive South-West Oltenia proposes a broad spectrum of activities in the training, highly qualified skills, having as the central focus of new investment, technology transfer and increasing collaboration between the University of Craiova and companies active in cars manufacturing for the development of joint research projects in order to use the experience of regional C&D&I in this sector.

 

  • Competitiveness Pole “Tourism Oltenia – Innovation and Traditions in  Tourism -TurOlt InoTT”

Regional Development Agency South West Oltenia held a working meeting within the Competitiveness Pole “Tourism Oltenia – Innovation and Traditions in Tourism -TurOlt InoTT”

The pole was established in August 2012 and it has a total of 66 members: the University of Craiova, Regional Development Agency South-West Oltenia, Craiova City Hall, Dolj County Council, Horezu City Hall, Eşelniţa City Hall, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dolj, Oltenia Tourism Association, Horezu Depression Association, the Association for promoting authenticity Horezu, the Romanian Association of Ceramics Centres, the Association for Information Technology and Communications from Romania, the Regional Association for Rural Development, ANTREC Mehedinţi, ADI Depression HOREZU, Horezean Manufacture, Cluster Turinn, Gorj County Museum, Oltenia Museum, International Centre for Art and Creation Constantin Brâncuşi etc.

The overall objective of the Pole Strategy “Tourism Oltenia – Innovation and Tradition in Tourism – TurOlt InoTT” is the increase of the competitiveness of the tourism sector SV Oltenia region by building a regional brand and product innovation tourism unit, so 2020 Oltenia to improve Romanian position as a tourist destination nationally and internationally.

The issue addressed is a continuation of the debate launched during the project RESSOURCES PARTAGEES POUR L’INSERTION PROFESSIONNELLE DES DIPLOMES EN EUROPE CENTRALE ET ORIENTALE (RePartI-ECO), presenting problems of employment and ways that can improve the collaboration between universities and the economic environment.

During June-August 2012 the University of Craiova organized in partnership with the Regional Development Agency South-West Oltenia, workshops where they invited representatives from the socio-economic environment to form some poles of excellence

In the strategy of the University of Craiova one of the priorities is the development of collaborative relationships with the socio-economic environment. The event aims to lay the foundations for better collaboration between the business field and UCV.

The University of Craiova launched invitations to representatives of the socio-economic environment. The guest of honor of this event is Mr. Daniel Chitoiu, the Minister of Economy, Trade and Business Environment. For the seminar were also invited, the presidents of the county councils in Oltenia, the mayors of municipalities in the area, and businessmen from several fields. From the University of Craiova participated deans, members of the Senate, teachers, and student representatives.

  • Open gates days – Romanian small and medium companies closer to innovation

IPA CIFAT Craiova together with with IPA Galaţi Branch, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dolj and the CENTI Technology Transfer Center Cluj Napoca organize a workshop and an exhibition with the themes Small and medium Romanian companies closer to innovation.

 

The event takes place at University Club in Craiova and it is part of a series of similar seminars organized at European level under the heading “Diffusion of services supporting innovation capacity of the small and medium companies through communication, understanding and Cooperation”, co-financed by the European Union.

 

The event is addressed mainly to innovative small and medium companies, inventors, various institutions for research-development-innovation, as well as teachers and students of the University of Craiova.

 

  • Economic Regional Forum

4-5 April 2012

Dolj Prefect Institution and the Foundation “Constantin Popeci” in partnership with the University of Craiova organized on 4-5 April the first edition of the Economic Forum.

 

The economic forum aimed at presenting the opportunities of the area for the investors both from Romania and abroad.

 

The forum was divided into four sections – industry, agriculture, energy and tourism. These top domains were represented by more than 60 companies in the S-W Oltenia region.

 

Participants: Representatives of 20 Embassies in Bucharest; representatives of County Councils and representatives of socio-economic environment in South-West Oltenia etc.
